Security Best Practices
Owning a hardware wallet means being your own bank. With great power comes great responsibility. Here are some golden rules to keep your funds safe forever.
- Never share your 12-24 word recovery seed with anyone.
- Always verify transactions on the device screen before confirming.
- Keep your recovery seed card in a fireproof, waterproof location.
- Use a passphrase for an extra layer of hidden security.
Did you know?
Phishing attacks are the #1 cause of crypto loss. Trezor will NEVER ask for your recovery seed online, in an email, or through support chat. If someone asks for it, they are trying to steal your funds.
